I love to compete. I have always loved to compete. The idea of going head to head and laying it all on the line is something I will forever look forward to.
I think winning is valuable. I think losing is valuable. It wasn’t until the second half of the last decade or so that I experienced and slipped into moments of what I would call “toxic competition”. The notion that someone else’s success takes away from our own. It’s a slippery slope to adopt a shortage mindset and start measuring your worth, or lack of, based on the accomplishments of others.
This week! I encourage us to recognize greatness. I encourage us to celebrate greatness. Especially outside of ourselves! When the people around you are successful – cheer them on with everything you’ve got. You know the saying – “look at your friends and you’ll see your future.” They are the portal to your possibility. Your story is still being written.
We are in this together. Let’s Move Together!
