Be willing to do things differently

If you want things to be better, be willing to do things differently.

Generally we have put our heart, our soul and our self into wherever we’re currently at and generally we have adopted the habits and beliefs to put us on whatever track we’re on – which is why change is so hard! And I would venture to say that sometimes change can even feel like defeat.

But if you want better. If you want the best yet. If the path that you’re on isn’t yielding the results you’re looking for… take a moment this week to pause, step back and have the humility to acknowledge that the current route may not be the only route.

BE WILLING TO DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY!

The new year is upon us! And it can be our best yet if we so choose!

Personal share:

This particular focus has been rolling around in my head for the last couple weeks, and I’ll admit, when I took a pause to evaluate my current route, I did feel a bit defeated.

In January of this year Move Together Yoga became official. It’s been in the mix for about two years, but in January is when I went through the legal process of making it a business and started building its presence in the online space. For (nearly) the past year, I have truly put my heart and soul into it. I invested my time and energy into learning web design and automation, I enrolled in entrepreneurship and marketing courses and I really went all-in with what I knew at the time, in building what I thought was a very scalable business model.

About a month ago I started to review my business. I looked at metrics, I looked at aesthetics, and most importantly, I looked at you guys – my community.

Best efforts in the wrong direction yield slow and below the bar results. *Slight defeat*, but with humility and logic, I acknowledged that I wasn’t giving you the best user interface in the online space.

Sure, I gave it my all. Sure, I believed in what I was doing – that’s obviously why I was doing it. But, I wanted better. Therefore I needed to be willing to do differently.

Last week I talked about counting W’s. When I reviewed my business with a fine-toothed comb, I saw that I hit a TON of singles. Heck, I even hit a few doubles. I saw that I was definitely getting a few things right, I didn’t need to scrub my entire vision, but maybe I needed to “change the bat” in order to hit a home run.

So here I am, this week, adding a blog post to a brand new website! I have migrated content storage platforms so that you now have personalized and easy access to all things Move Together!

The willingness to do something different has opened the floodgates of creativity and re empowered me as a student and a very capable entrepreneur!

In business, in relationships, or in lifestyle – if you have a willingness to do things differently, I guarantee that you will have an opportunity to make things better.

I am so excited to love you better and in more ways in 2022!
